Technically, Dr. Butcher, M.D. is a zombie movie. The whole movie is bits and peices of different
movies woven together ingeniously...well I don't know about that, but I guess they are woven together okay...I guess. It's quite a debacle.
On the back of the box is says "He's a depraved killer, sadistic rapist, a blood thirsty killer...and he makes house calls." None of those are
true to this movie, but it sounds cool anyway. It starts out with the worst but greatest music I have ever heard and a bunch of zombies rising from their graves. I never really payed that much attention to the plot, but for some reason these natives from an island called
Kito are eating the hearts out of bodies from the morgue. The ever amazing Ian McCulloch, star of Zombi 2 and friends go to Kito to investigate, and what they find is
the imfamous medical deviate, Dr. Butcher, played by Peter O'Neal, who possibly rivals Joe Pilato as the best over acter in the history of zombie cinema. This guy is great, delivering such lines
as "You nearly succeeded in destroying my life's work. I could easily kill you now. But I'm determined to have your brain!" It's pure genious.
I mean, this guy is truly inspirational.
There's really not that many zombies at all in this movie, but there are enough and Dr. Butcher himself makes the movie. He alone
earned two of those tarman rating points. If you get a chance, watch it and fast forward to the end to watch Peter O'Neal go to work.
Overall, this movie is pretty strange zombie/cannibal/pointless naked woman shot movie. See it!
