Well, last night I read the first volume of the Manga..

Impressioins:
Kick ass so far (I love cars Cheesy)
Artwork though is going to take a little getting used to.. it's not bad, it's just different.
So far the story is cool, Teenagers racing, good enough for me :p

I'll be picking up volumes 3 and 4 today

Yeah, yeah, go on and bash me for having the Tokyopop ones, but so far, they haven't used any "Nicknames" in mine, save the changed name of the car to the 8-6.. but I can deal with that.

Plus that, I can just come here and find out the changes anyway :p

trust me man, its not "changed" parts, its a new ****ing story-ruined and made for little kids-all the cool nuances and car stuff; gone-its not even close

i highly reccomend getting the scanslations(like you were supposed to months ago!) and reading those-and watching the anime on hkdvd or download fansubs-the tpop version is f'd

anyway, i'm glad you liked it Cheesy

Ok, here's why, you got one of the orignal run of volume 1, which they ran either before agreeing to the tv deal, or by mistake, not really sure which.  By volume 2 you'll be in the heaping pile of crap that is Tak, Iggy, and so on...

hk dvds are great, but they only can (obviously) only release what has been animated.
if only scanslations of project d existed... =(
