I finished Bullet Witch last night on Normal difficulty.

It's a distinctly average game. The revisions to the US and PAL releases might make it more tolerable but problems are at root level.

Gokumakaimura (Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins) and Gradius Collection arrived today so I've been giving them a go.

The former didn't turn out to be quite the bargain I thought it was since it seems the US version is reasonably priced. However, my initial suspicions about the US case covers turned out to be correct so I'm pleased about going Asian.

The Beginners difficulty seemed a slightly too easy (relative to G'n'G of course) so I tried a quick go on Normal to see what the difference was. The first thing I noticed was that the gravestones were now on fire; I went back to Beginners.

This was one of the games I bought the PSP for and so far I haven't been disappointed.

Dirge Of Cerberus

Pros:
-Awesome CG cutscenes
-Stylish new character designs
-Intruiging story
-Great voice acting and music
-Customizing guns is fun
-Some cool boss fights

Cons:
-Controls are a bit clunky
-Repetitive and bland level design
-Small variety of enemies
-Not enough checkpoints
-Stupid Cait Sith sneaking mission; thankfully, it's very short
-Some in-game cutscenes can get pretty cheesy; too much of Yuffie and Cait Sith's buffoonery and not enough cool scenes of Rosso and Weiss kicking your ass.

Overall: 6/10

It's worth a playthrough at least once for diehard FFVII fans. If you must complete the FFVII Compilation, wait for a used copy. If you're put off by an abundance of belts or anything slightly Gacktacular, nothing I say will change your mind. :p

Do they call her Yuh-ffie or Yoo-ffie?  What is the correct way to pronounce it anyway?  I always pronounce it Yuh-ffie.

Speaking of which, how do you pronounce Cait Sith?  I have heard it is pronounced Cat Seeth from an obsessed FFVII person back in the day that spoiled the whole plot for me before I even got to play it...

Ooooo, let me show you this part!
(Well, you've already spoiled Aeris so what the hell.)
Wow, damn cool boss music, *continues to watch* Who is that anyway?
*executes Omnislash* The final boss.
Oh...

The correct pronounciation is indeed "Yoo-fee".

The name is based on Cat Sidhe (pronounced "caught shee") from Celtic mythology (clicky for a wiki). They don't refer to him by name in DOC or AC, I guess to prevent confusion or something.

Also, it's officially "Aerith" with a "t-h". :p

Haha, first new game I bought in a while, and that honor went to Disgaea 2. The game so far is everything like Disgaea 1, except better. The techniques are mostly the same but they're pretty much upgraded and better versions, the team attacks are much cooler this time around and lifting and throwing beomes even more tactical when you can throw and catch and even attack while holding someone in the lift and both get an attack.

The story is so far, not as good as the original. The characters are all basically broken records. If I have to hear the main character say "I follow my own style!" or "I never break a promise!" one more time I might just kill him for fun. The Dark Court might be promising, but I haven't gotten enough sopenas yet. The Dark Assembly is fun now with the addition of the Legendary Senators. You get them on your side and you know you have a winning vote.

Overall, I like the game. It's fun. It's just like the original in all the good ways but still, the story could be better. I love Etna this time around so I guess that makes up for the weak characters so far. I also like having a french Frog man tell a man monster that looks like a woman, "I do not like the demons with the ding-a-lings." after flirting with him.

I'm still playing Dead Rising way too much, and currently working on the final touches of N3.  Also picked up Enchanted Arms and so far, despite the horribly stereotypical *** voice, the English VO is actually worth listening too because of some of the really funny dialogue, such as you choose what Atsuma will have for lunch, depending on your choice he may just scream "Meat! Meat! Meat! I need meat!"  After that, i decided to stick with English for a while.

Luci-kun and I are playing Xenosaga III.

he's much farther than me, (Ive only just finished chapter 3), but so far its not bad. The fighting system is much better than II and there's not really any battle loading time except for bosses.  However, in some of the  buildings you go in to that you have to be in for HOURS, there's an announcer that says different messages (depending on what part of the game you're at) and it plays every TEN GODDAMN SECONDS.  Thank god for the Mute button.

Its still enjoyable, and has TONS of dialogue and cutscenes.  So much its rediculous (reminding me of Xenogears with that much talking).  But still, fun.

I can imagine so.  For a series to end three episodes earlier than expected I would expect it to be jam-pack.

That's good to hear about the fighting system.  The one from the second game was hard to get used to for me the first time through.

As for me, well, you know what I'm still playing. :p
