Quick Sasuke Question

I am new to Naruto and I have not seen the anime yet. I have only read the manga vol 1-3,but at the end of vol 3 it seemed that Sasuke died,is he really dead or does it just seem that way.

i don't want to ruin it for you, but you know the manga is up to like 223 chapters or something...how often does a main character die that early?  sometimes i wish he had died though....:sweatdrop

Yusuke died on the first episode in Yu Yu Hakusho

And Excel kept dying every five seconds in the first ep of Excel Saga. :p

ok so i'm wrong

i guess its on an anime-by-anime basis.  and with naruto, especially later on in the manga, you never know who's gonna die and who's not
