That is awesome news. Does anyone know how reliable the source is though? It doesn't look very official. But great if it's true. Let's hope it'll be a 26 episode series again!

I have never heard of the site before I just found it when I was browseing.  A lot of their information seems accurate though.  To go on top of that , the screens above with the miata make it look all the more promising.

Oh, well. Let's just hope it's accurate. It would be awesome. Especially since Initial D is the kind of series that you need to see moving.

When looking at the date I can only wonder why none of the official sites have picked up the info if it were to be true. Really, I wouldn't put my money on what this site is saying. Once it's announced on an official Japanese site, or sites like AoD, ANS and ANN I'll believe it, but not some 2 line newsflash from that site.

Hope I'm wrong though ^_~

I'm sure there'll be more out eventually.  If you watch the special on the 3rd stage HK DVD, they have an interview with the director.  He says he'd love to do more Initial D.  He said he'd want to keep it going and make a 4th, 5th, and 6th stage.  So lets hope he gets his way.

Taken from the HK DVD forum, by ArconX:

http://www.fansview.com/2003/baaf/082903b.htm

Gearheads love Initial D for the cars, especially the modified Mitsubishi Evolution. All of the engine modifications don't win Initial D's street races; lightweight, good-handling cars have the same sort of performance advantage on the animated hill descents as the have in the real world, so Usami is looking forward to some new cars that will be featured in the latest Initial D movie and a new animated series starting in 2004. While Usami doesn't drive fast in his own car, which has an ordinary automatic transmission instead of the anime cars' manual gearboxes, he does have some pointed opinions about American cars. The suspensions are too soft, he declared, so much that he'd expect a U.S. auto to roll over on the hairpin turns of Initial D's hills.

Guess it's kinda official now Smiley

WOOO HOOOO ^_^ Nice!

Some little unrelated news. I was walking down a parking lot in ny before and I saw a 86 parked in the lot. It was a Panda Trueno! It even had the Trueno sign in the front. What's even more funny is that on the side it said "Fujiwara Tofo Dan" just like the Initial D 86! Hahahha, must be a hardcore fan to do that.
