Greatest Villain ever

So who is it? This topic was brought up at the place I work at and its actually a hard question. So i was wondering who is really the greatest villain of all time? Real life, video game, or anime/manga. Any and all will do.

Jinai from Kenshin

Also came to mind:
Shockwave Alberto from Giant Robo: great for his destructive skill (supposedly based on some esoteric martial arts technique); actually I thought the whole Big Fire group in Giant Robo was pretty good as far as collective villains go.
Hamdo from Now and Then, Here and There--irredeemably disgusting and creepy (although so extreme, I'm not sure he's actually "great").
Scar from FMA--although a line-straddler ... great villain when he seems a pure villain.

Outside anime, IMO best villain ever: Iago in Othello.

Iago rocks. I love Kenneth Branaugh's portrayal of him in the movie with Laurence Fishburne.

I totally also forgot Gregor Clegane from George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. He's a completely irredeemable monster!

Badass villain goes to Sephiroth and early Vegeta in DBZ. so far weve agreed on these 2 between all my friends

Oh, Kid Sixx reminded me...Robert Mitchum was creepy in Cape Fear, but he's just downright scary in "Night of the Hunter". I can't remember what his name was in that movie, but Robert Mitchum was brilliant at bad guys.

I'm all about sci-fi, so gotta go with the Terminators, Aliens, and Predator. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho also has to rate high on that list. Also, the asshole who kills Bambi's mom and a bunch of other memorable Disney villains.

But topping the list, Biff from Back to the Future. Attempted rape of Marty's mom, trying to run Marty over with his car and using knowledge of the future to screw with time just to make a quick buck. Damn you, Biff!!! *shakes fist*

Dio Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Asshole rich kid turned badass vampire. Charismatic, cunning, super strong and a snappy dresser to boot.



When you can hurl steamrollers with your barehands and have henchmen who worship you like a god, you can get away with wearing pointy elf shoes and green hearts, too.
