There's still some place that you can buy M/I sets, F/X or EZDVD sets & MAC set. As far for getting info this place been kinda slow. Not much people come to visit here since the great big bust back in 05 or early 06 & some titles were frozen to come out for a while & some websites were forced to closed.

I think it is. With digital fansubs going HD, HKDVDs can't keep up anymore.

Add to that the low availability, and yes, I think the end has come.

I still have a lot of them lying about that I tried to sell real cheap,  with no interest from anyone. Can't find any other websites with more attendance either.

No The HK dvd era is not over.

Yes old stores have closed and new ones have opened.

It's just a matter of time and patience.

There are still plenty of HK dvd sellers on Ebay.

And I've seen a lot of new boxsets that I've not seen before(some were new shows and some were older shows).

With digi-subs(fan-subs) all over the net, people have been turning to that for a resource to see their favorite anime shows.

HK dvd's are not over ,not by along shot!!!

I still buy HK sets all the time... it just seems the community for it has died down.

Wow, I haven't been in here in a long time. It's been a while since I bought HK DVD's but I still look for them every once in a while. Still need Ashita Joe Vol 2 and 3. I really liked HK DVDs because of the old school stuff they were releasing. They never finished releasing Galaxy Express 999 Sad It's cool to see some people are still hanging around here though  Cool

Well I'm still here. But it seems there's not a market for them anymore.

There are stores that still sell them. Seems like people tend to download more from the internet know. Thanks to all the fan sub groups that are out there and releasing episodes a few days right after they aired on tv in Japan.

  Cool Cool Cool

I still tell people to buy the showsd on HK dvd that will never see the light of day on R1 dvd in the USA. Or even shows that did not get completed( Lupin III Season 2, 155 eps).

I was in a half price books last year and found a very bad hk set of ROD tv.  I took it over to the clerk and told him it was a bootleg and he got mad at me saying it wasnt.  and then their "expert" on bootlegs looked at it and said she didnt know but it looked legit.

Now it had no english dub and it had chinese characters all over the back, and was only 3 discs.

I had a chuckle at the whole thing.  What an idiot!

Oh it was also selling for 40 dollars used.

Yes-I think it's safe to say that hkdvds are dead now. I haven't purchased one in 5 years.
