Is anyone else watching this? If so, are there more digressions in the main story, as there was in episode 3? Because while it was cute and funny at first, the main story (Misaki and Usami) is seriously getting on my nerves (God...every yaoi cliche I hate has shown up at least once), but I enjoyed the side story a lot. :sweatdrop

Junjou Romantica is about three couples:

Romantica:  Usami x Misaki
Egoist:  Hiro x Nowaki
Terrorist:   You x Shinobu

episode 1-2 are Romantica
episode 3-6 are Egoist
episode 7-8 are Romantica
episode 9 is a flashback episode Usami and Nowaki as kids
episode 10 starts Terrorist

That's all I know, as I can't find scanslations of the manga anywhere and it's all in plastic wrap at all the book stores XD

I agree that Usami x Misaki get really old, but episodes 7-8 are much better than the first two episodes, and I really, really like the Egoist couple.  I'm looking forward to Terrorist, but one of the people involved in that couple is only 18, so maybe there is still whining going on there like with Misaki?  Don't know yet.

I just laugh at the yaoi cliche's, but even though the premise of Junjou is a lot like Love Mode (about multiple couples who are related somehow), at least Junjou doesn't have that relation being a BL escort service -.-

The show's cute and superficial (yaoi by definition means no plot) and the OP song is great, so that's all I need *shrug*

I think you'll like the Egoist pairing more LM because they're older and there's less whining and weirdness going on.

(and I even made Matt watch one of the Egoist episodes, and he didn't gag and go puke somewhere, but actually asked me a few weeks later how that little arc ended)

I did like the Egoist couple. They were both adults and acted like it, unlike Misaki (and Usami, and he's supposed to be a grown-up!).

Terrorists lovers should be interesting. Thanks for the info, I'll keep watching! Wink

Apparently Kadokawa has contacted the site where I download these eps and has demanded they remove them. Guess I'll never see past episode 6 (unless it gets licensed). :sweatdrop

http://www.tokyotosho.com

AnimeSuki is a thing of the past my friend.  Always use Tokyo Toshokan.  SO much better. Just do a search for Romantica and you'll come up with a ton of torrents.  Just look for the ones that start with [aarinfantasy]

And what Kadokawa did is absolutely pointless. Why contact AnimeSuki with the C&D for those 13 or so series when they're not actually the ones subbing it?  If you're going to C&D someone, do it to the actual fansubbing groups, dur.  Also, considering none of the titles they did this for are licensed, it's just a complete waste of time [/rant]

Anyways, I can always keep you updated on Junjou Romantica and give you direct download links if necessary, if you don't use bittorrent for some reason.  Just let me know.

Thanks for the link! After seeing episode 5 I am rather glad I don't have to give up the series right now. By the way, wasn't that like the world's longest corridor that Nowaki was chasing his boyfriend down? :p

:lol :lol episode 5 is the one I made Matt watch, and we both laughed so fucking hard during that whole scene, which was supposed to be serious, because it was the longest. hallway. ever.

Thank god we're not the only ones who thought that. :p

OK, I have just realized that 98% of the obstacles and problems in yaoi stories (and other love stories, too) are caused because the characters never actually talk to each other.  I'm glad most real-life people have the talking thing down. :p

But misunderstandings lead to the best shenanigans! :p

So, Junjou is finished and it's been officially licensed for the US by Kadokawa USA, I guess they'll pick a distributor, since they don't actually do US distributing.

Junjou will have another season if it's DVD sales in Japan do well, so, here's hoping to that!  It barely touched on Terrorist, and it only got to like vol 4 of the manga (which is up to I think 11, I've read up through vol 10), so there's a lot more hilarity and ridiculousness that could be animated in the future!
