So I watched the first episode finally.

I forgot what off pacing the show has. I love it.

I wonder if this storyline in the first episode is the beginning of an actual arc or if it is just a 2-part thing.

but don't tell me, I'll find out when I watch the next episode...

yesh.  Keep watching.  So far all of the episodes have been from the manga, although they're a little out of order.  But xxxholic is, by nature, mostly episodic, so it's okay to do it that way IMO.

So is anyone/everyone still watching Season 2?  Any thoughts?

I feel like they are rushing the storyline a bit, but that should be expected when only given 13 episodes.  Alhtough, this also forces them to leave out crap episodes like xxxHolic 17...

Oh yeah, Watanuki tries to help a woman who ALWAYS does things that are the worst possible choice in any situation.  The outcome was mindnumbingly boring, and nothing happened positively or negatively by the end, she just walked away like Bruce Banner in an old Hulk episode.
