actually i kinda like the manga / anime equally (love hina).  

I'm also trying to get all of the "Oh my Goddess" series, cause its so good.  (belldandy has got to be my all time favorite character design- either her or Iria )

I also picked up "Island" vol. 1.  the art is really good but the story is kinda cheesey so far.

amazon is that cheap huh? i really ought to check that out sometime.

any good recomendations for good manga to get? (other than akira because i alrdy know "you know who" will recomend- rightly i might add)

OK, I'm a little late on this thread, but mangas really can be addictive. It's something like finishing one series and beginning with two new series. Currently I'm reading 17 series plus 2 anthologies.:freak

As I know now, I'm lucky, as mangas cost only half the price here than in the US.

I also have read up to volume 3 of Akira so far. A lot more happening in the manga than in the anime. And the last 3 volumes are waiting on my bookshelf with 20 other mangas I haven't read yet.
