X the Series?

*Jumps up and down from the back of the room* I support Kakyou! I support Kakyou!! Although I agree, he is pretty stinkin' useless. But the few parts where he does decide to do something tend to be very important, like saving Kamui for example. Besides, he's angsty, pretty, and vulnerable, a fangirl's dream, deshou?

My quirk about the X series is that it only stays fairly faithful up until manga 16, which was the last volume to release before the X anime series started I believe. After that, everything reverts back to the X movie. Fuuma never gets his jealous bouts over Kamui; Nataku's cute developement didn't matter because in the end, he willingly gave up his life to Fuuma, not having known what love or emotions are; and Subaru didn't jump camps.

It had two major things that were bound to come up though: Hinoto dying, and Arashi switching. But those were bound to happen, any fan could tell you that. In the end, Kamui never realized what he wanted, the whole passing on his wish deal was a scapegoat. All the loose ends kill me; Seiichirou getting back with his family (that's one trusting wife he's got there), Subaru walking around as if he didn't have a care in the world, and Fuuma sitting around like he didn't remember a thing about the people he's killed. And on top of that, Arashi had better be pregnant or something!! But it's all as if Madhouse was afraid to make their own development of the story.

Oh, I started ranting, sorry. I'll run off to a different topic now....

I actually liked the end of X. Sure it's different after book 16, but in my opinion the series ending may end up being better than the manga. Satsuki and Yuuto died in a fitting way and Subaru was very well used in the last episode. I was also glad that Sorata nearly killed Fuuma...
